There is a little more consideration taken into account when deciding which puppies go with or without and to with whom it is granted.  We don't grant this to just any puppy and we don't grant it to just any person.

What puppies are considered? First it is process of elimination, does the puppy have any mismarks? Does the puppy have the proper eye color? Does it have it appear to be developing an appropriate bite? Does the puppy have basic any obvious health issue's that can be detected at such an early age for example's are undescended testicles, dry eye, heart murmur.  Then after all of that, we decide who in the litter might do the best job of representing the breed. This is where it gets a little bit tricky and sometimes there are no  "Yes or No" answers but a very in depth look of the entire picture we are looking at.  We take into account the entire breed standard here.  Some puppies while pass all the preliminary evaluations, we simply don't feel the puppy is as good an example as we would prefer to see.  Something as simple as having a too small of an ear combined with something like being too light boned.

Then the biggest question of all, Who is considered for a full registration puppy?  First of all, please be honest. I do check people out quite well and will find out how honest your being. If your not being up front then chances are you will be denied.  I want to know what your intentions are.  I do not mind people looking to add one of my puppies to their breeding program but I want to know why you want one of MY puppies.  Even though you might be looking to improve your breeding program which is a noble cause but I am also looking for someone who is not going to disgrace the breed.  I want to be comfortable with allowing my kennel name to be associated with you.  It is a great bonus if you already have an established breeding program and have shown to be sincere in your intentions.  I am looking for people who are going to recognize the dog as an individual and wants to build a relationship with that dog and be more than simply a "breeder dog."  If your just looking for a "breeder" go look else where, there are plenty of others out there who really don't care where their puppies wind up as adults.   I as a breeder, have goals.  I have short term, long term and everything in between and have a forward moving breeding program.  While producing puppies is involved in those goals that is not a goal in it's self.
